Volker, my suggestion is to extend the jade.tools.ToolAgent and use the same mechanism of the RMA, i.e. registering with the platform as a listener of platform and agent-specific events.
Probably, you can even extend the RMA and override some of its methods.
Consider that this might degrade performance because you are monitoring all the statyus of the platform.
