By default, JADE uses IIOP (Corba) over TCP/IP to talk to other
platforms and RMI internally. There is also a plug-in for a HTTP
transport (again, TCP/IP). If you want to create your own UDP transport
that's easy enough (implement the MTP interface) but you may find
problems with the max udp packet size (and the fact that agent systems
tend to assume a reliable transport).

does anyone know if the agents communicate through a tcp/ip transport
layer, or the udp???
