Since there have been two requests for assistance regarding JADE with J2EE servers I'd like to offer a suggestion. Perhaps if you looked at the code we created to make JADE become a managed service under both JBoss and HP-AS it would help to shed some light on your specific problems?

The two methods initService and startService in the file bluejade/src/com/hp/bluejade/service/JadeServiceSupport.java apply to both JBoss and HP-AS. This file is really the core of the functionality.
