You can read the "Multi-user and security support for MAS" paper available in the Papers section of the JADE site.
I don't know if it answers your questions, but it can include some useful hints.
As for inter-platform security it is not a big deal (probably) to extend the security mechanisms of JADE-S to JADE-to-JADE inter-platform. This is not very interesting however. A real inter-platform security should be standardized by FIPA first.

Subject: [jade-develop] Jade-S: more documentation available?
We are interested in using Jade-S and have downloaded
the zip-file as well as the documentation "Security Administrator Guide".
So far, we have studied the doc. We are not quite sure how secure
Jade-S really is. So our question to the developers:
- is there more documentation available?
We are interested in two things:
1. A more detailled description of the security features ( Security Concept)
2. A threat analysis and design doc
This means a document which describes the threats which can occur in an
agent system and which describes how Jade-S handles these threats.
Have you made such a study and is it available to us?
One example for the beginning:
If I start my container with username and user-password, the container has
register itself at the main container. How is it ensured that my username
my password cannot be picked up by someone else?
So far, Jade-S is concerned with security in one platform.
Do you intend to address inter-platform security? And have you a timeframe
